Sanganeri, Bagru, Kalamkari, Madhubani & Ajrakh: All speak in the language of Florals

Sanganeri Prints are made using hand-carved wooden blocks and traditionally natural dyes

Florals in Bagru are larger, more pronounced, and often strongly outlined, appearing as stylized flowers that sit firmly within the fabric

The name itself comes from ‘kalam’ (pen) and ‘kari’ (work), reflecting its distinctive process of drawing directly onto fabric

Florals in Madhubani are bold, outlined forms -- often lotus, buds, and stylized plants -- filled with intricate patterns and repeated detailing

Unlike free-flowing floral traditions, Ajrakh integrates stylized floral forms within geometric frameworks -- arranged in grids, borders, and mirrored layouts
